22 – No Help At All

None at all. A bit rubbish really.

Well, this wraps up the end of issue one and I hope you’ve all enjoyed this rough and ready introduction into this world I have cast for you all. Cast is a little too grand a word to use, maybe written or created? I don’t know, it is a bit of a heavy evening seeing something you’ve worked on come to life and you get those feelings of (emo) dread which I won’t bore you with.

Issue two is at the finishing line with the first pages (almost) ready. We’re racing for a start date of the 8th so fingers crossed! On Friday, I’m going to release some of the sketches for issue two and I’m sure you’ll love them as much as I did.

7PM, starters in position…

..BANG BANG! This is turning out a mission impossible!

Well, cheap GLC lyrics aside, I’m kind of realising one drawback of partnering with an awesome artist who is three or four hours behind me. Its 7pm here and I’m chomping at the bit to get this show on the road but back in Argentina its still just 3 or 4 pm and plenty of time to put the finishing touches.

I probably was a bit hasty to get things going this soon and good thing I said starts this week rather than starts monday because then I would have looked like a right idiot now, wouldn’t I?

Project Wonderful is both dazzling and confusing at the same time. It is kind of like dubious bidding website Telebid except you don’t win a Nintendo Wii with your pennies, just a chance to display a skyscraper ad on somewhere. I did try and buy ad space a pretty reputable webcomic only to find that you can tell prospective suitors to sod off which was quite hilarious but understandable. Fair dues and all that.

Anyway, as soon as German gets the first page to me I swear it’ll come out, I’ll even try and page 2 up by Friday.

Incoming.

I’ve been given word that the 22 pages, inked and lettered, will be on my desk by Sunday/Monday. I want to update once a week on a Monday so this is pretty important. Keep an eye out because I’ll just get the first page out as I’m not really that bothered about a cover page. Not yet anyway.

That said, progress with issue 2 has already started and will be much faster than before which is pretty good but there is going to be a bit of disruption in my life between now and May. I’m looking to move to somewhere in Central London and we’re already on the lookout for places. We have more than enough buffer (Six and a half months worth in fact) even more if German gets issue two done in double-quick time so we should be okay. Just be more worried that the comic will come out on a tuesday instead of a monday due to excessive moving drama in my personal life.

When I start, I’ll be posting a vote link to topwebcomics for you guys to add your daily vote to this superb enterprise! I’ll be offering vote incentives with script excerpts and storyboards which me & German used to plan the comic!
