Actually on time for once, I think…

  1. Isreali gaffe-master general Avigdor Lieberman strikes gold yet again as the Netanyahu administration continues to wreck twenty years of hard work by previous Isreali Prime Ministers.
  2. Mali Babies wearing D&G? Deisel funding internet centres in the middle of nowhere?
  3. Former British Officer turned Mercenary jailed by Afghans for blowing the whistle on corruption is in danger his family says (and I’m inclined to agree!)
  4. Meanwhile China urges calm as the two Koreas struggle to find relevence in a world that has seemingly forgotten all about them..for now.
  5. Speaking of Korea and relevance, North Korea suspected of exporting nuclear technology to Burma amongst other nations.

Thats your lot. See you next week!

Sorry, when I said I was going to post five links weekly I didn’t realise how amazing my three week holiday would be! So without further ado:

  1. War is Boring‘s David Axe pens an interesting report on one of the worlds lesser known insurgencies and how an emerging economic superpower is struggling to react.
  2. Meanwhile Peace Activists and Isreali Special Forces play dodgems in the East Mediterranean. One wants to break the Gaza Blockade the other wants to stop them at any costs. UPDATE: 10 die in IDF fiasco as they decide to abseil down into a crowd of angry people. Yup, good move lads. – Al Jazeera live blog here.
  3. MIL-BLOGGER FIGHT!
  4. School Violence in China and how it is embarrassing a nation who usually hammers America and its people’s penchant for “going postal.”
  5. The Guardian reports on how archaeology is now a weapon in the war for Jerusalem.

Restarting this because I definitely should pontificate to you what you guys need to read on t’internet.

  1. British born Oxbridge educated man causes chaos on the streets of Bangkok. Who knew?! To be honest theres more to it than that but it is still a good joke.
  2. Sunk ROK Covette mystery deepens. Not that we don’t know who did it more how does one react to it?
  3. Respected former SAS and mercenary man Bob Shepherd gives his two pence over the phoney debate on Britain’s so called “independent” nuclear deterrent.
  4. Whilst I become BabaTim’s biggest fan after he name drops legendary war correspondent Max Hastings. He also talks about corruption and the fallacy of NATO’s so called “surge”.
  5. Saracens beat Saints 27 – 28. Because I’m a Fezboy and proud.
