Hard Graft

…thought I’d post the original sketch for page 33 while we all wait for page 34 which comes on Monday!

Currently I’m awaiting three frames for some photos which I had blown up. One 12 x 12 inch and two 12 by 18 inch frames. All very good but I’ve been waiting all day for them to be delivered. I thought UPS were meant to be incredibly fast delivery?

On a high note, at the pub quiz we won the “play your cards right” mini game. First time I might add! £29 in the pocket went on a round of pints and some bottles of beer for Dad when I visit tomorrow.

I got a favourable mention from a review site, The Floating Lightbulb which was ace and I like the note about B&W. I honestly think colour (or lack of) shouldn’t be a barrier for readers but I do recognise that people do feel that colour brings out the detail in the scenes. A short and sweet cover which was very interesting to read.

I have been privately getting some good feedback from other, more entrenched and experienced hands in the industry and all of it has been really encouraging. I can’t really thank you all enough for all the feedback and enthusiasm which you’ve all approached me and German. Even when people are critical it is always constructive and from the point of view that they’re passionate about the comic which is very humbling. Cheers!
